Bristol, Conn, March 7, 2019 – The Bristol Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the local individuals and businesses to be honored at this year’s 130th Annual Awards Dinner. This event is a chance for the Chamber to honor those who have made a difference in the community and contributed to the Chamber’s mission of economic growth, legislative advocacy, and business development.
This year the Chamber will honor the following award winners: Outstanding Community Service Award to the Bristol Housing Authority, Special Recognition to the Main Street Community Foundation, Volunteer of the Year Award to Wanita Parent, Spirit of Bristol Award to the Quota Club, Distinguished Business of the Year Award to Thomaston Savings Bank, and the E. Bartlett Barnes Distinguished Service Award to Kurt Barwis. New in 2019, the Chamber is proud to introduce a new award category, Outstanding Youth Community Service which will go to the Bristol Central High School InterAct Club.
Cindy Bombard, President & CEO of the Central Connecticut Chambers of Commerce stated, “We are excited to honor all of these deserving businesses and individuals who work so hard throughout the year to support the Bristol Community and the Chamber. They are what makes Bristol All Heart.”
The Bristol Chamber of Commerce 130th Annual Awards Dinner will be held Wednesday, June 5th at the Aqua Turf Club, 556 Mulberry Street, Plantsville. Registration will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the program at 6:45 p.m. Cost is $70 per person. A variety of sponsorships are available. The evening will also feature a silent auction.
