Carey Manufacturing, a Cromwell, CT based manufacturer of catches, latches, handles and electronic hardware for military, aerospace, computer, electronics, telecom, automotive and consumer applications, is pleased to announce they have been selected to participation in the SelectUSA Reshore, Retain and Reinvest Case Studies and Report. The Report is a series of case studies of companies that have successfully reshored manufacturing in the USA will be released during the SelectUSA Investment Summit in Washington, DC from June 10-12, 2019. Carey Manufacturing is one of four (4) companies chosen by SelectUSA to participate in this case study. In addition, Paul S. Lavoie, General Manager, will be featured in a panel discussion titled “ReSelect: Reshore, Retain and Reinvest.” The panel discussion will focus on highlighting best practices and lesson learned from companies that have reshored operations in the United States. The panelists will provide insights into how to best reinvest and expand in the United States.
In 2016, Carey Manufacturing began moving its manufacturing operations from China to Cromwell, CT. Carey has invested over $5.0 million in equipment, people and resources to reshore the manufacturing of its product lines. “We’ve created 10 new jobs and added millions of dollars to the local supply chain through the purchase of raw material and other services”, stated Paul S.
